Luca Pasqualin and the sorcerers stone – How he failed in school and his books were taken away
the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy- talked about how his parents were going through a divorce, family going bankrupt, brother being deported, and other personal problems. He said he relates himself in that book. Takes values from that book such as “Don’t Panic”
Busboy – His family struggled with finances so he got a job as a busboy. He found other literacy besides reading/ writing in his job. He found signals on how people communicate.
Pet detective – He learned the literacy of being a salesman. He found that people communicate that they want a product by how they touch and hold the item, so he took that to his advantage.
The debate team and the art of war – He talked about “kill words” and how you can’t say certain things during a debate, such as “always.” He also talked about how people would bait opponents into saying those “kill words.”
Dont panic – He tells us when he went back to his old room and he realizes how many books he has read. He asks if his grades would be the same without all his sponsors. The best thing he has learned is don’t panic
